Community
The people are what make the club. We create spaces where friendships, encouragement and good sportsmanship can thrive.
Our story · St. John’s, NL
Born Here. Built to Rock.
East Coast Rock is a volunteer-powered pickleball community built around great games, good energy and a shared love of getting people on the court.

Where it began
Meet East Coast Rock
A little dream that got big—fast.
In 2021, we set out to bring Newfoundland and Labrador its first official pickleball club. The original dream was to get 50 players onto the courts at Northpoint Sports.
That dream exploded in just two weeks. East Coast Rock quickly became a lively community of hundreds of passionate players, volunteers and supporters.
Today, the club offers Weekly Club Days, ladder and league play, open play and tournaments. Whether someone is brand new to the sport or an experienced competitor, we want them to find a place to play, improve and belong.
East Coast Rock is a non-profit club powered by community,
volunteer energy and a genuine love for the game.

What drives us
People first. Pickleball always.
We want pickleball to feel welcoming, energetic and accessible. Our programs create opportunities to meet people, build skills and enjoy meaningful time on the court.
Growth
Players should have opportunities to learn, practise and challenge themselves at every stage of their pickleball journey.
Fun
We take good play seriously—but never forget that pickleball should bring energy, laughter and joy to the court.
